Rising entertainment mogul Philly Weeden is back with a brand new touring production about the ups and downs of a promising marriage that seems to have lost its way. Philly has endured plenty of hardships from homelessness, divorce and everything in between but through it all, he thanks God and uses his lessons learned to inspire generations to do better. His latest work includes his first touring production “SOULmate” that starred famed Actress Taral Hicks that played last year in front of a sold out crowd at the Athenaeum.
INDY STAR NETWORK wrote “Philly Weeden, solidifying himself as a production power house” wrote: “Imagine yourself attending a sold out show in downtown Indianapolis for Philly Weeden who is affectionately known as the Tyler Perry of Cleveland stage play, Soul Mate: A True Love Story that boasted a sold-out crowd of over 400 people in the audience.”

What do you do when the one you fell so deeply in love with doesn’t appreciate your efforts of affection anymore? That’s a fight Frank Johnson doesn’t know he’s in. Having a successful law practice and a beautiful and loving wife, his world is complete. So he thought! Never in a million years did he imagine that he would be faced with so many hardships from business to home all at once. Is this the work of God or the work of a woman that’s wanting out?
“I Can’t Make You Love Me” stage play stars actor/singer Marc Nelson from the grammy award winning Boyz II Men and Az Yet as Frank Johnson alongside actress/singer Taral Hicks from Bronx Tale and Belly as Megan Johnson. This production packs a powerful punch including platinum rap artist MC Brainz, Terron Brooks from the film the Temptations and also, Philly Weeden is returning to the stage.
Missing this is not an option. “His plays are authentic, moving, compelling, funny, and they keep you wanting more!” Porsha Monique of Rollingout Magazine. Get ready as Philly Weeden continues to raise the bar.
